[gtkmm] g_get_application_name: referenced symbol not found

Hi,

I am learning gtkmm,

I installed it successfully in my home directory.
I could compile the simple example in the tutorial.
But while trying to run the program, I get the
following error,

ld.so.1: ./simple: fatal: relocation error: file
/apps/lib/libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0: symbol
g_get_application_name: referenced symbol not found
Killed

Any help would be appreciated
