[gtkmm] signal_toggled only on "on"

Hi,
I have a list of radio menu items.
If item1 is selected, then I select item2
I only want to receive one signle signal_toggled event
for item 2, I do not want to receive first the item1
toggled (off), then item2 toggled (on).  I only want
to receive the "on" toggles.  Is this possible?
