I think the errors I get looks like it comes from the mingw compiler or the gtkmm source files. Not the binary packages I downloaded. That why I'm posting this to the list.
mingw is supposed to be a supported compiler.... However, the gtkmm configure script tells me that my c+ compiler is not advanced enough...
