That might be necessary for unrelated reasons, but it doesn't change my
opinion that it would not be a clear API.

If there are things that you think need to be done then they should be in
bugzilla or at least the TODO file.

Martin, please bug a cvsmaster (greg or chema, for instance) on irc if you
still don't have your cvs write access.
