GtkDatabox can't do this, but the gwyddion library 
(http://gwyddion.net/) can.
The functions are described here: 
http://gwyddion.net/documentation/libgwydgets/GwyAxis.php.
Maybe it is not hard to implement this feature of gwydddion in gtkdatabox.
