make uninstall

in the directories where you run make install.

If you have properly configured yum:

yum install gtk+-devel

If you do not have configured yum, invest the five minutes
into setting it up. It will pay you a thousand times.

I do not understand where you expect some `Gtk+ 1.2 folder'
when you do not have Gtk+ 1.2 installed yet. Anyway,
rpm -ql gives you the contents of any installed package.

Examples are only in Gtk+ source code, but that definitely
not mean you should *install* Gtk+ from source code.

If you mean Fedora Code 2 -- are you aware this is an
obsolete (already more than year unsupported) version?

That's enough.
