Strange input behaviour

Hello!

I'm not sure if this is the correct list, so please forgive me if it is
not and kindly point out the right one.


I'm using the Gnome desktop. Any time my system gets the slightest bit
busy, everything goes completely whack. If I press a key, it gets
entered about 20 times or so, the mouse responds erratically (including
clicks when all I did was move the mouse a bit) and so on.

Is this a known issue, or is something wrong with my system?
