Editable GtkTreeView and Tabs

Is there an easy way to make tabs work with
and editable GtkTreeView? By default, the
tab will exit the entire table instead of going
to the next field.

Also, when I select one row and type anything,
a textbox appears below the table with what I
typed. What does that do for me? Can I disable
it?
