GnomeApp and positioning toolbars

how would one go about saving and restoring the position of the various
BonoboDockItems in a GnomeApp so that if the end user moves a toolbar to
a particular position, it is restore on the next instance of running the
application.
I can't find any api documentation on a BonoboDockItem.
