Dear Jean,
I solved the problem by install the new XFree. It is said somewhere in Pango, that it needs new version of Xft, which is available in XFree86 4.30 and above! Hope it can help the others who had similar problem: Pango doznt check Xft and fontconfig... but u need it to let it work!
