Gth-test demo problems

I have successfully installed GTK for the linux
framebuffer but come across the following error when I
try to execute the gtk-demo program distributed with
the GTk+-2.4.4 distribution.

Gdk_WARNING **: gdk_window_set_keep() not implemented

Does anyone know how I can resolve this problem? 

Is it because I am using the VESA framebuffer? 
Has anyone else got the demo to work on the linux
framebuffer.
