gtk+ 3.2.3 doesn't find glib 2.3.2

Hi,

I've compiles glib2.3.2 without errors (--prefix=/usr) and installed it (make 
install). However gtk+2.3.2 doesn't find it as the following output suggests:

checking for glib-2.0 >= 2.3.2    atk >= 1.0.1    pango >= 1.2.0... Requested 
'glib-2.0 >= 2.3.2' but version of GLib is 2.2.3

Any help on this?
