Cannot find font file Arial Bold 8

Hi all

Im using Xfce4 and last week I updated gtk+-2.2.0 to gtk+-2.4.0 (also 
atk, pango and glib) further i installed fontconfig-2.2.93, xft-2.1.2, 
Xrender-0.8.3 and freetype-2.1.7 etc.

every program in the Xfce package crashed with this error message**

(xfwm4:5694): WARNING **: Cannot open font file for font Arial Bold 8 
Speicherzugriffsfehler: xfwm4 --daemon

I did some tracing with gdb in the core file, but ended up with no more 
knowledge than before -- the crash occurs somewhere in Xft: 
_XftLockFile, but this happens of an undefined pointer to a 
font-description (or something :-/ ), the cause for this has to be 
earlier. Since I read about others having similiar problems, all without 
solution / solution applies not to my case, I hope to get some help here.

I run a SuSE 8.1 System w/ kernel 2.4.19 XFree86 4.2.0

Programs that don't use gtk 2.4. don't have any problems...
