GtkTreeView is too complicated for simple list.

In My progrm, many many times I just use a simple list to make customer
do select. The list is only 1 colume as string, to do this in Gtk2.0, I
have to use GtkTreeView!! 

GtkTreeView is very powerfule. But for this kind of little simple list,
it is too complicated and too slow!

Strongly suggest Gtk provide a simple list box in later version!!
