The basic idea is to have applications refer to hyper and super, and
GTK+ deals with the whole which-modifier-bit-is-that issue. See
libegg/libegg/treeviewutils/eggaccelerators.h for example (various bits
of GNOME already use this code - I'm not sure why it isn't in 2.3.0 in
fact, probably just slipped through the cracks).
