hook gtk signal

hello friends,

from gtk1.0 to gtk2.0, gtk_signal_add_emission_hook()
is changed to g_signal_add_emission_hook(). And
corespondingly,  (*GtkEmissionHook)is changed to
(*GSignalEmissionHook). I am puzzled how to use the
new functions. The gtk help file is too simple to use.
Anyone can give some hint or source code to use as
reference?
