gtk problem with glarea

I have following problem:
I use glarea to draw some 3D scene. I use toolbar with
buttons to draw the objects. But when I click the
button there is no refreshing on the window. When
there is some acton over my window the object is
displayed ( when i resize, use menus etc.) How should
I refresh window?
