Yes, I mainly develop my GTK 2 applications under Linux and frequently build
them for both Windows and Solaris (various flavours).
The cross-platform support is great (thanks to a lot of hard work from the
maintainers presumably!) and there are now hardly any differences.
I would definitely recommend upgrading to 2.2.
