Update a GtkTreeView

Hi,
I've created a GtkTreeView with a GtkListStore to show a list of
authors. So, when I update my list of authors, how can I easily update
the GtkTreeView.
My list is sorted by name of authors, so, must I clear my GtkListStore,
and recreate it ?
Is it a better way ?
