Problem of font and gtk_init()

Hello,

I have a problem with KDevelop2.0 and gtk_init()

If I use the function gnome_init_with_pop_table(...), 
my soft run correctly but if I use gtk_init(),
All the string with an accent are unvisible.

Maybe it's a problem at the initilisation of font... 
But I don't know what I can make...

Can you help me?
