Problem setting some widget colors

Hello
i have some problem setting my own style:
at beginning of app i create my own style
 then fill interesting menbers : base,fg,bg ( i m usin gtk 1.2)
then i just do a gtk_widget_push_style(mystyle);
so my style is used for all widgets i create 
and it works as fine as expected thus
i noticed i just couldn t setup the shadow of labels in state insensitive
!!!???
it s always white  ... wtf
my settings only change the text color not its shadow s color
this white becomes really annoying when user of my app chooses some dark bg
color
(the labels don t look insensitive anymore)
does someone know how i could fix it??
