problems using gtk 2

Hi,
I hav downloaded the gtk 2.0.6 and i managed to install it without any
problem. But after, when I run the gtk-config command, the computer can't
find it, and I don't know why, so if you know what's the problem, tell it to
me please. I'm running under a Suse 8.0.
