Hilighting focused widget

Hello.

I've a problem I couldn't solve yet :-(

I'd like to have the focused widget coloured (with or without the
thicker border) so that it's more visible.
Is there a way to do it just with rc files or have I to write (or use,
if already exists) a theme engine?
