GTK+-2.0.3 install error

Hi there,

I'm trying to install GTK+-2.0.3 on an Alpha running Digital Unix 4.0d. Since
the release of the latest updates, building and installation of GLib, Pango &
ATK has gone without a hitch (providing I install GNU libiconv + gettext
beforehand), but although GTK+-2.0.3 seems to build without any problem the
following occurs during 'gmake install':

/bin/ksh ../mkinstalldirs /usr/disk1/system/software/apps/bin
 /bin/ksh ../libtool --mode=install .././install-sh -c
gtk-query-immodules-2.0
/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2
.0
.././install-sh -c .libs/gtk-query-immodules-2.0
/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0
gmake install-exec-hook
gmake[4]: Entering directory
`/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/archives/libs/gtk+2/gtk+-2.0.3/gtk'
/bin/ksh ../sanitize-la.sh
/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.la
gmake[4]: Leaving directory
`/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/archives/libs/gtk+2/gtk+-2.0.3/gtk'
/bin/ksh ../mkinstalldirs /usr/disk1/system/software/apps/include/gtk-2.0/gtk
gmake[3]: *** [install-gtkincludeHEADERS] Segmentation fault
gmake[3]: Leaving directory
`/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/archives/libs/gtk+2/gtk+-2.0.3/gtk'
gmake[2]: *** [install-am] Error 2
gmake[2]: Leaving directory
`/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/archives/libs/gtk+2/gtk+-2.0.3/gtk'
gmake[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory
`/usr/disk1/system/software/apps/archives/libs/gtk+2/gtk+-2.0.3/gtk'
gmake: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

Any ideas somebody? I have tried to understand the makefile entry for
'install-gtkincludeHEADERS' to see if I can do this manually but not being a
developer it isn't clear to me how to proceed.

Any advice gratefully received !

Jonathan Wall.
