#include gtk/gtk.h

Hello all,
I am a beginner Linux programmer, and I want
use GTK+, but in my test program, there is an error 
when compiling in the first line :
#include gtk/gtk.h 

"gtk/gtk.h: no such file or directory"

There are directories of gtk-2.0 and gtk-1.2 in
 "include" directory on my system, but there isn't
no path by name "gtk/gtk.h" and path of gtk.h in
my filesystem is "usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtk.h" and
with "#include gtk-2.0/gtk/gtk.h" in my programs
accuped alot of errors for compiling.

please hint me, if I must reinstall gtk?or ...?
