Application Icon & Mouse cursor

Hi all
I was wondering if a gtk/X application can have its own icon. I mean, under 
WindowMaker for example, if you minimize emacs, you can show the GNU icon. Is 
that a window manager hint, or an X hint ? Can we set it with gtk function  ?

Another thing, is there a way to set Mouse cursor position, and the Mouse 
bitmap (not an arrow, a hand or something) ?
