Fonts really small on Windows XP

Good day all, 

I am using the binary versions of the GTK2 from Tor Lillqvist's site
along with Mingw32, and I can't seem to get the default font displayed
in any widget to be any bigger than about 6 points.

In fact, the fonts are either really small, or invisible.

Anybody have any idea what this might be?
