Gtk+1.2.10 Accelerator Problem

hello

I got the problem of Accelerator.
I installed RedHat7.2 FTP

You can confirm it by the following operation under the menu example, itemfactory.

1. invoke itemfactory
2. press Alt + f
3. press Ctrl + q

then the accelerator of the top of menu , New , is changed to Ctrl+Q.
Actually, there is no effect. Just wrriten as Ctrl+Q on the sub menu widget.
As you know it's originaly Ctrl+N.

Please figure it out.
