Iconify/deioconfy gtk windows

I can't find any API to iconify and deiconify a GtkWindow. Does anyone 
know how to do this? How do I listen in for an iconify/deioconify signal 
as well as there doesn't seem to be a signal to connect to for this 
event? I can't find anything useful in the Gdk library either.

I thought there would be a gtk_window_iconify function or something similar.
