This is a Modula-2 code snip, but I think you get the idea.

   rc_style := gtk_rc_style_new();
   rc_style^.font_name := YourFontNameGoesHere;

   gtk_widget_modify_style(YourWidget, rc_style);
   gtk_rc_style_unref(rc_style);

The font name is just like a Gdk font name used for gdk_font_load
