Problem with gtk_timeout_add (1.2 version)

Hi,

i'm doing an animation using a gtk_timeout_add 
to calculate and paint a moving object, 
and it works well, the problem is when i detect
the motion_notify_event, the movement for 
the moving object becomes faster, why does this happen?
