gtk_label problem

Hello,

I use a gtk_label in my application.
with the function gtk_label_set_text, I'm writing text
inside my gtk_label,
but when I want to change the text of my label in my
program, the new text overwrites the old text.
Is there a way to destroy or delete correctly the content of
a gtk_label in order to change the text inside it ?
