File dialog alternatives

I'm looking for alternatives to Gtk's file selector widget which have
any/all of the following properties:

    * Windows look/feel

    * Ability to list various file attributes (size, modtime, owner, etc)

    * Ability to select multiple files or directories at once

Implementation as a Python class would be fine (doesn't need to be
implemented as a Gtk widget).

Thinking this is probably a frequently asked question, I first tried
searching the gtk-list archives at

    http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-list/

before posting.  Every search I tried turned up empty though.  I tried

    file selector
    contributed widgets
    file
    gtk
    havoc

At the very least I expected the last three to generate something.  Is the
archive search function broken?
