At the cost of repeating myself, the GtkCanvas is perhaps the most
useful and most powerful widget available under Gtk. Is there *any*
way we can shame/cajole/bribe/convict/persuade the GTK+ team to remove
it from GNOME and follow the example of the back-port by including it
in GTK+ 1.3/2.0 ?
