gtk color table

Hi ,

I need a widget to select an ordered table of up to 256 colors, it would
presumably allow the user to read these tables from a file or files and
browse through various tables to select one.  Does anyone have such a
tool?  Is there a repository of gtkwidgets out there someplace?  It
would be really nice if something like CPAN (perl module repository)
existed just for gtk stuff...
