Porting Gnome Applet on win32

Hello,

I'm trying to 'port' the applet-library from linux-gnome to win32.
I aim at building gnome-applet-s which are 'pure GTK' on MS-Windows.

Before going on in my investigations, I have some questions :

1. Does anyone know a similar project ?

2. Some applications have a 'custom desktop toolbar' on win98 which has an active content.
<mmm, I hope you will understand what I mean>
How do to that (without or with GTK) ? (I was unable to find it on the MS'developper site

3. An other way could be having a new appbar (like the taskbar) which will receive applets.
But then, I need to use the gtk_plug widget.
Does it works on win32 ?
... and is there any 'complete' example on win32 somewhere ?
('cause it involved inter-process comunication and I'd never do that before... :[)

J'essaye de porter la librairie 'applet' de gnome vers windows.
Mon but est de pouvoir compiler les applettes qui n'utilisent que GTK sous MS Windows.

Avant d'avancer plus loin dans mes recherches, j'ai quelques questions:

1. Est ce que quelqu'un a entendu parler d'un projet similaire ?

2. Certaines applications ajoutent une barre d'outils (avec contenu actif) au bureau de win98...
Comment faire la même chose (avec ou sans GTK) ?
(Je ne l'ai pas trouvé sur le site developper de Microsoft)

3. Une autre solution serait d'avoir une 'deuxième' barre des tâches qui prendrai en charge les applettes.
Mais à ce moment la, j'ai besoin d'utiliser le widget GTK_PLUG.
Est ce qu'il fonctionne sous Windows ?
...et est ce qu'il ya quelque part un example "complet" ?
(cela nécessite une communication inter-process, et je n'ai jamais utilisé cela...)

Les commentaires (voire même l'aide... :D) seront les bienvenus.
