Anyway as I have gtk 1.2.10, I've send you my gtk-config file, you should maybe change the pathnames access in theis script file and then copy it onto your hardrive (for your info, gtk is install in my /usr directory, so this script was in the /usr/bin) Best regards, --- Jean-Christophe Berthon Cap Gemini -- Ernst & Young Toulouse FR Skill Aerospace -- Image Quality Email: Jean-Christophe Berthon cgey com Tel : (+33) 561 31 6639 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sebastian Melmoth" <etemp sympatico ca> To: <gtk-list gnome org> Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2001 4:03 AM Subject: gtk-config > Dear GTKers, > > I've been having trouble compiling GTK+ apps for some time now. > ./configure always goes through its regular motions until: > > checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.6... yes > checking for gtk-config... no > checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.6... no > *** The gtk-config script installed by GTK could not be found > *** If GTK was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in > *** your path, or set the GTK_CONFIG environment variable to the > *** full path to gtk-config. > configure: error: Test for GTK failed. > > My version is gtk+-1.2.10-ximian.8.
