how to install GTK++

hi,

I have downloaded gtk++ 1.2.10 and glib 1.2.10
packages for www.sunfreeware.com.
Do i install only these two packages for doing GTK
programming? or Do i compile gtk++ source also?

i am using sun sparc and solaris 2.6.

Actually, i added gtk++1.2.10 package with using
pkgadd but i could not find gtk.h file.

thanks in advance if anybody help me.
