Problem with GdkGC

Hi,
I was trying to get coloured graphics using gtk. I am hereby
attaching a file which I got from the gtk's download site. Can anybody
help me in modifyng the code(it should work) So that I can get (16 bit)
colored graphic rectangle using the above program.
