gtk++ on Digital Unix 4.0D

Hi,

I compile and install glib-1.2.8 and gtk-1.2.8 on my Dec Alpha au433 running
Digital Unix 4.0D, but dump core when I try to run gtk-1.2.8/examples/base (and
others). I appreciate any insights that will help me solve the problem.

I use gcc 2.95.1 to compile the source.
