combobox problem

Hello all,

I'm writing a free program for medical use. A database with patient records.
(It will be in Dutch)
I have the following problem: I want to attach a hidden number to each entry 
in a combobox. For example Marnik|9901 and |9901 must be hidden.

Is it possible to use two colors in a combobox, so |9901 can be white?
Or is there an easy way to attach data to a combobox? (and retrieve it)
Didn't find anything so far.
