Vscale continued, help needed

I really really need to have the direction of a Vscale
changed, so please is there no scale widget expert on this
list?
In my application the Vscale represents a tone. Now when I
move the slider up, the frequency will go down! There can be
as many as 31 sliders in one window, all going in the
wrong direction. This upsidedownness is extremely silly!
