That is what I have been doing. I have "don't blame me, blame the window
manager" documentation is this regards.

I really hate when the WM ignores the set_transient_for hint, which is not
an isolated occurrence from my experience. It is annoying when the WM
ignores my request to not have a maximize and/or  minimize button.
