I want to try some gtk programming. I installed the gtk+ and gtk+-devel
packages from the RedHat 7.2 distro. When I try to compile the simple
example in the tutorial, I get errors that the widgets cannot be found.
Do I need to uninstall the gtk+ packages from RedHat and install the
tarball, or is there something else that I need to install that will get me
the widgets?
I think I answered this on the redhat list earlier this week :-)
7.2 has everything you need. Tell us exactly what you are doing and
someone will tell you what you're doing wrong. :-)
Dave
It was the back-ticks in the compile command that got me. I always get
caught out by that.
Thanks to all who responded. I will now bow my head in shame.
Ian.
