On GTK+-2.0

browsing through the last months mailing list messages
I was wondering wether there is some sort of a Roadmap on
GLib/Gtk+-2.0 development, a scheduled feature/API freeze?

Maybe one of you Gtk-wizards out there also can answer me
another question:
Where (in Gtk+-1.3.4) did the GtkObjectClass's aka _GtkObjectClass's
(GtkType) type field and it's signal container array go?

Is there some overview of the design changes between
GLib/Gtk+-1.2.x and the upcoming GLib/Gtk+-2.0 anyway?
