why not gtk_style_*() in gtkstyle.[ch]?

quick question:

why did you name gtk_{draw,paint}_* instead of gtk_style_*?


and lazy question:

how do object oriented language bindings handling this? I mean do
those function under the class of Gtk::Style, or stay somewhere else
as util functions?
