Hello,
I am a student at University of Toronto doing a project that involves the
gtk library. I had no problems installing glib and gtk+ at home on my
linux machine, but I am having difficulty installing on the school server.
I do not have root access (and I am not sure if this is the problem).
By setting various options, I am finally able to get a compile of gtk,
and even the ability to compile the helloworld example. However, I get
the following error when I try to run the helloworld program:
24931149:./helloworld: rld: Fatal Error: Cannot Successfully map soname
'libgtk-1.2.so.1' under any of the filenames
/u/0T1/varia/SOFTENG/glib-1.2.8/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.1:/usr/lib32/libgtk-1.2.so.1:
and it lists a bunch of other possibilities..
Does anyone know what this means? And if so, does anyone know how to fix
this error?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Meghal
