gdk_imlib_load_image (?) w/ GTK+

All I want to do is load a image into a GTK+ Window using imlib.
Is there an example on this?
I called gdk_imlib_load_image("mypic.jpg") and that part works.
I saw gdk_imlib_apply_image(image, (GdkWindow*)win), but how can I get it
into a Gtk+ Window?
Do I need a drawing area?
