<whine>It doesn't compile!</whine>

More specifically I get the following errors when I do "make" in the main 
dir:
build/GtkDefs.c:914: redefinition of `names_'

build/GtkDefs.c:914: `names_' previously defined here
build/GtkDefs.c: In function `Gtk_InstallTypedefs':

function)
build/GtkDefs.c:942: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
build/GtkDefs.c:942: for each function it appears in.)
build/GtkDefs.c:944: `names_GdkWMDecoration' undeclared (first use this 
function)
build/GtkDefs.c:946: `names_GdkWMFunction' undeclared (first use this 
function)
make: *** [build/GtkDefs.o] Error 1

For you information I run the following system:
RedHat 5.2
Linux 2.2.13
Afterstep 1.7.161
Glib/Gtk+ 1.2.6
no Gnome or KDE

The only error I get from perl Makefile.PL is 
gnome-config not found!
which, since I do not use gnome, makes perfect sense. :)
