Entry refresh.

I sometimes get a screwy looking entry widget (text overlapping and such)
when I am adding text quickly or scrolling quickly.  Is there some
function I should call earlier so that it adds the text to the entry then
repaints the widget???? (This doesn't happen under solaris but it does
under win32).
